Your wedding day should be a truly unique event. You need to work with professional musicians who have experience with wedding ceremonies and receptions and also bring to your event personalized service and help you plan your day from a music perspective.

When you work with us, we can provide a "one stop shop." You or your planner will be working directly with the musicians from beginning to end, not with several different groups or third parties. This frees you to focus on other aspects of your wedding and truly enjoy the day!

Wonderland Strings can bring the perfect touch of class to the prelude, the ceremony, or to other aspects of the day. We can also provide solo vocalists.

Our bands and DJs are experienced in planning and playing just the right music and announcing all of the events for your reception (our DJ's also provide ceremony music if desired).

Band or DJ? Why not both? When you choose one of our bands we will include the DJ service for the appropriate times during the reception for no extra cost. You get the best of both worlds at one affordable cost.

Rather than just tell you everything we can do, we have provided here an actual event. This illustates our services and the experience that we provide.

Wedding ceremony (4 PM)

Wonderland Strings works with the church organist and provides the bride's choice of music for every aspect of the ceremony. Over a period of several weeks the violinist had worked with the bride to choose music she loved, including Air from Water Music (grandparents), Sleepers Awake (mothers), Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (processional), Canon in D (bridal procesional), Be Thou My Vision (unity candle), and Bouree from Water Music (recessional).

Wedding reception (4:45 PM)

As guests arrive at the country club, DJ Wonderland has dinner music playing in the background. As more guests flow in, The Herringbones begin a set of light jazz. Around 5:30 PM, the wedding party arrives and is announced. The band plays live the following "special" songs: Then (first dance), I Loved Her First (father/ daughter), and What a Wonderful World (mother/son). With the dance floor now open, the band starts with I'm Yours, followed by Bad Case of Loving You. By the time they play Electric Slide and Carolina Girls, the dance floor is full!

About 7 PM, the band takes a short break for the cake cutting and toasts. Then songs chosen by DJ Wonderland play, once again filling the floor to Cha Cha Slide and Single Ladies. At 7:20 the band starts again with After Midnight, Heaven, Moon Dance, Miss Grace, etc. as guests dance to song after song.

At 8:20 the band stops for the traditional bouquet and garter toss, performed to live drum rolls! Then at 8:30 the couple dances to their last song, Love Me Tender by Norah Jones and depart for the honeymoon.

How did this couple describe their wedding and wedding reception? "Perfect." We were just happy to be a part of it and be able to wish them well!
